DeepDom

A fast, visual order book (DOM), third-party software, to read market depth and aggression in real time.

DeepDom highlights market depth (bid/ask per level), the tape and imbalances in a visual read. Complementary to the heatmap, it helps with execution timing. Presented for information: third-party software.

In depth

DeepDom is the ecosystem's order book (DOM) reading tool: a fast, ergonomic view of market depth, large orders and their movements. Where DeepCharts gives structure (heatmap, footprint), DeepDom focuses on the real-time book and execution.

Its strength is fine timing: seeing a large order refill at the bid, a wall thicken or melt as price approaches, aggression accelerate. For a trader executing at tick level, this order book read is the natural complement to the chart view.

How to read it in practice

In practice, we use DeepDom to refine the entry once the scenario is decided on DeepCharts: waiting for a passive order to defend the level (a refill at the bid for a buy) rather than entering blind. It's the tool of 'when', where the heatmap gives the 'where'.

Example

On DeepDom, you see a large order refill at the bid → likely support.

Common mistake

Scalping the book with no plan, reacting to every order move. The DOM can be manipulated (spoofing) and scrolls fast: without a scenario defined beforehand, reading the book becomes noise. DeepDom refines a decision, it doesn't replace it.

Frequently asked

Is DeepDom only for scalping?

No. While scalpers like it, it mainly serves to refine the execution of any trade decided beforehand: finding the best entry and stop thanks to book depth.

Do you need DeepDom on top of DeepCharts?

They're complementary: DeepCharts for structure and context, DeepDom for the book and execution timing. Depending on your style, you'll use one more than the other.

Is the book shown on DeepDom reliable?

It reflects real orders in real time, but remember a book can be manipulated (spoofing). Always read the DOM against executions, not in isolation.
